Beauty: December Favourites 2015

Hello everyone, it's my last favourites post (and any other post for that matter) of 2015! I actually can't believe it, it feels as though it was literally 5 minutes ago that I was writing my January favourites, one of my very first posts when I started this blog! It makes me think about how much I've enjoyed blogging this last year and how much joy I get from being part of the community.
Anyway... away from the soppiness and onto the beauty products I have been loving this month.

Sally Hansen Maximum Strength
I use this as a base coat before I paint my nails because I really want to improve the strength off my nails and try and prevent them from breaking whenever I try to grow them long. I find them especially weak when I treat myself and get gel nails done so this is really good to give them a little bit extra life and I've definitely noticed and improvement in my nails since using this.

Zara 'Rose' Eau De Toillete
I was looking for a new perfume and came across this little bottle in Zara. It's a lovely smell that's not too sweet and a fairly deep floral scent which is quite good for all year round I would say. Also Zara's perfumes are cheap and cheerful, this costing under £10!

Real Techniques Eye Shadow Brushes
These are an oldie but a goody, I'm not sure why but I've really been reaching for these brushes a lot recently to do my makeup with. I think because you never go wrong with real techniques, a simple brush that gets the job done, I still love this starter kit so much!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
This concealer just covers your spots and gives your skin a glowing look... need I say more?

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick
I love this matte red colour, it's so vampy and edgy and such a perfect colour for the winter time. I like wearing this colour with a completely black and white outfit as I think it adds a definite bit of edge

Thank you so much for reading this post and any others that you may have read in 2015! Hope that you all have a very happy new year :) Don't forget to comment and follow me on Bloglovin'!

Hello everyone!
I hope that you all had a wonderful christmas and are looking forward to the new year. My outfit today for a cosy day at home with my family was this gorgeous mustard yellow jumper with my favourite denim skirt and chelsea boots. I really love this outfit because it feels so bright and uplifting, and is really what you need when the weather is this grey and dingy. Mustard is not normally a colour that I would go for as it's quite daring but now that I have tried it I think that its defintely a colour that I would like to try out more, because it is so cheery and lovely. I think that this jumper would also look good with black ripped jeans and converse for a really relaxed everyday look.

what's your go to outfit for a family day? and what outfits did you rock over christmas? Don't forget to let me know what you think in the comments and follow me on bloglovin :)

Fashion: Holiday Party Style Guide

Hello everyone!
I think it's safe to say that the party season is officially underway and I for one absolutely love this part of the holiday season. I find it so fun to dress up and get ready for a night out and this time of year is one of the only times when you can get away with getting a bit of sparkle out. I decided to style my holiday party style with this gorgeous glittery crop top from Topshop in a christmassy deep green colour, I absolutely fell in love with this top as I love a high neck on a crop top as I think it's such a flattering cut. I knew when I saw this leather A- line skirt in H&M it would go perfectly with this top. It definitely takes a skirt from a daytime look to a more edgy evening party look, especially with a silver zip up the middle. Because I'm not really one for super high heels, I found these beautiful suede look heeled boots from New Look and I think these are so versatile as a more comfy alternative for traditional  stilettos whilst still looking classy.

For more inspiration for your festive party look, I've provided a Holiday Style Guide* from The Black Tux a super cool website who specialise in tuxedo rentals and would be amazing if you're struggling with something to wear for this holiday season  at brilliant prices. The ease of their website helps you to also design and select your whole outfit - my personal favourite is their velvet tuxedo. For today only if you enter THEBLACKTUXNYE2016 at checkout for your tuxedo or suit order you will recieve $20 off your order!

Have you got any parties this season? What will be in your festive party look? Hope you enjoyed this post and don't forget to comment and let me know what you think :)
Hope you're having a lovely Christmas so far!

Life: Festive Evening Routine

Hello everyone!
Can you believe its only 5 days until Christmas? Its absolutely crazy, December has flown by! To get you even more in the festive spirit today, I thought I would talk about a typical evening that I will have during this season to relax and get me feeling all Christmassy after a long day of work.
The first thing that I'll do is get myself into some comfy Christmas pyjamas, including these gorgeously soft socks from primark, I like these because they have the cute pattern on the outside and they're so fluffy and warm on the inside. After this I like to pop some fairy lights on and light a candle to give some mood lighting. At the moment it obviously has to be Yankee Candle's 'Christmas Memories' which just smells like everything good about Christmas including cinnamon and gingerbread. Then I always make myself a hot chocolate (which would not be complete without spray cream and marshmallows) in my 'Boofle' mug that says 'I wish I was still in bed' which is always true. Of course I also have to have a mince pie! I'll then pop on a christmassy film and curl up on the sofa, at the moment I'm loving Frozen (judge me!)

What's part of your Christmas routine? Hope you're all having a lovely build up to Christmas!

Life: My top Christmas films

I'm definitely a massive fan of Christmas and find nothing better in the run up to Christmas than sitting with the Christmas tree lights on, a mug of hot chocolate and a film. It was hard to narrow down my top ones since I love so many, and I could easily talk about Christmas films all day, however here are six that I think you should definitely be watching this year!

1) Love Actually
To be honest with this film i would watch it at any other time of the year, as it just makes me feel so good! This film has so many different plots that all fit together perfectly, and is filled with so many amazing actors... I'm sure you have already seen this film but if you haven't watch it now!

2) Elf
This is one of those films that I watch and crack up at every line - Will Ferrell plays the role of Buddy the Elf so well and is one to definitely get you in the Christmas spirit. I was so sad to hear that he declined the opportunity to film a second film, it would have been great!

3) A Muppet's Christmas Carol
If you didn't sit down to watch this on Christmas Eve every year, then I feel like your childhood is a incomplete. (Joking) but I do think that this film is an absolute classic and tells the story of a Christmas Carol in such a hilarious way, with characters we know so well. Love it!

4) Home Alone
Ahh it fills me with so much joy to watch a young Macauly Culkin in this film. It tells the story of a young boy who is left at home at Christmas while his family go on holiday, and all the mishaps that occur along the way. Funny and heartwarming, you must watch this film at some point this Christmas season.

5)The Holiday
Even if you just watch this film to gaze at the gorgeous Jude Law, I wouldn't blame you. A classic rom-com which will have you laughing and crying. I find it so relatable , especially Kate Winslet's part, which is one of the reasons I love this film so much.

6) The Santa Clause
Such a good film! I would also recommend the second and third film after this. It tells the story of a man who puts on the coat of a dead  Santa Claus and is therefore entered into a contract to become the new Santa Claus, what's not to love?

Thanks so much for reading, I hope you got some festive inspiration! What are your favourite films at this time of year? Don't forget to follow me on GFC and Bloglovin'!

Hello everyone!
My first post of December is here, and to celebrate the festive season I have changed the header of my profile to be more christmassy, yay! Recently I rediscovered this gorgeous little pinafore that I bought a few years back and instantly knew I had to write an outfit post about it.It really makes me feel so cute and reminds me of what I used to wear when I was a little girl. I also think it's very versatile and is a nice twist on just a classic denim skirt, making wearing jumpers more interesting. I decided here to pair it with a khaki jumper from H&M- a colour that I am so glad has followed us from summer into winter, because its so lovely. I also wore my little grey bobble hat from Primark, and despite looking ever so slightly like a garden gnome, i think that it adds a really nice winter vibe to the outfit. Finally I wore my trusty boots from Clarks which go with any outfit.

Thanks so much for reading! Hope you all have a lovely week :)

Beauty: November Favourites 2015

Hello everyone!
I can't believe november is already over, but you know what that means? We can start celebrating CHRISTMAS!! I'm so excited for the festivities to start and and I've got loads of christmassy blog posts in mind, which you should all get really excited for ;) Any way here is what I have been loving through out the month of November.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream: Recently I have been enjoying the fac that my skin is quite clear (yay!) and so haven't felt the need for a heavy foundation, and I've found that this BB cream does the trick. It gives a light coverage to get rid of any redness whilst gving a healthy look to your skin. Would definitely recommend.

Benefit Roller lash mascara: I won't go into a full review of this product as I'm sure you have read so many since this product has been raved about everywhere. I just felt I had to mention this mascara as after using it for 8 months, I am still loving it so so much, and can't seem to find any other mascaras which make my lashes so long and curly. Bravo Benefit!

Collection lasting colour lipstick in 'Poppy Glam': To be honest all collection lipsticks in general should be in my favourites since I have been loving them so much, however with the christmas season coming up, I feel that Poppy Glam is the best one to get you in the mood. At the bargain price of £2.99 each and superdrug often doing a 3 for 2 offer, I tend to go a bit crazy with these lipsticks and get all the colours haha.

Simple Kind to skin hydrating light moisturiser: With the weather getting colder, and particularly in Bournemouth where I live by the sea and it's really windy, I have to make sure I look after my skin and stop it from getting dry. I have always loved simple and this moisturiser is perfect as it is light and doesn't make my skin oily and breakout.

Seventeen Define and conquer contour kit: I recently bought this contour kit and I have't stopped using it this month! If you want a full review, you can read my last blog post here.

Thank you so much for reading guys! What have you been loving this last month?

Beauty: First impressions "Seventeen - Define and conquer contour kit"

Hey everyone, so over the past few weeks I have heard endless praises for Seventeen's new contour kit and I've been dying to try it out ever since. Now I know what you're thinking: (and I won't lie, at first I thought this too) Seventeen.. really? Yeah we all have good memories, one of the first makeup brands I tried out when I was about twelve, and it was all well and good then, but now I've discovered many different makeup brands. However, after giving it a shot (and at the bargain price of £5.99 why wouldn't I?) I'm pleased to report back with only positive things.
With a little leaflet in the packet showing you exactly where to place each powder on your face in order to get the gorgeous contoured look this product is easy to apply and quite build-able. I'll normally start with quite a small dusting of each powder and then add more until i'm happy with the amount of definition on my face. For the price of this product the quality is amazing and looks wonderful on - would highly recommend!

Thank you so much for reading and for 300 bloglovin' followers! any other contour kits you think I should try?

Fashion: Wishlist!

I'm sure as many of you know, now that I am a student, I kind of have to keep the shopping to a minimum (cry). Although with my birthday coming up in about a week - and with that birthday money- I have allowed myself to create a small wishlist of some of the clothes I might buy with it.

I think by now we can tell from my blog that I am obsessed with autumn, and all the fashion trends that come with it and this wishlist is no exception to the rule.
1) Brown *suede* skirt I put this in asterisks because I clearly won;t be able to afford real suede, but anyway, this skirt just seems to be everything that I love about autumn, Skirts in the A-line shape with buttons are my absolute favorite at the moment and I've wanted one of these skirts for ages.
2) Black heeled chelsea boots these are absolutely gorgeous and I feel would add a bit of sophistication to any outfit, either with skirts, jeans, dresses. I also really like the material of these ones, as it adds something different rather than standard leather all the time,
3) Grey trench coat I love how this is a little spin on the traditional trench coat, with no buttons or a belt, it would add a really relaxed vibe to a classy outfit.
4) Large black bag I absolutely love massive black bags because (as i'm lazy) they pretty much go with everything so i don't have to worry about moving everything out of my bag to a new bag that matches what I'm wearing every morning.
5)Tartan scarf  I dont really understand why ive not bought one of these yet considering ive wanted one for like 2 years now. However I am determined this year because they are so christmassy and wintery and basically all i want in a scarf.

Thanks so much for reading! Whats on your wishlist at the moment? Don't forget to follow me on GFC and Bloglovin'!

Fashion: #ootd

I recently purchased a new floppy fedora style hat in a dark plum colour and I think I'm in love! I just want to wear it all the time haha! It's from primark for £8 (an absolute bargain!) and I just couldn't wait to do an outfit post show casing this for you guys. I decided to pair it with my ripped charcoal joni jeans from Topshop and a baggy, grey slit jumper from H&M. I love this look as it feels so sophisticated but yet so casual - and definitely one of those ones which will have me checking out my reflection in any shop windows I pass (sorry, not sorry)

I will definitely be rocking this hat a lot more throughout the Autumn / winter months. Any staple items you will be wearing? Thanks so much for reading and thank you for 200 bloglovin' followers!
