Fashion: Spring Walks

Hello Everyone!
I am so excited that finally, the sun appears to be coming out in England, and this means that I have been able to make the most of living in the gorgeous coastal town of Bournemouth. I am also excited by the emergence of Spring and warmer weather because it means that I can finally update my wardrobe and wear spring clothes, because lets face it, jumpers and coats are starting to get boring now.

My outfit on this particular day was my classic black Joni jeans from Topshop (an essential for everyone's wardrobe, I believe) with my black slip on shoes from New Look, which are some of my favourite shoes for the warmer weather as they're perfect for slipping on and being comfortable the whole day, as well as looking oh - so cute. My t-shirt is a lace style top in a floral pattern in a beautiful lilac colour, which I am predicting will be huge for the upcoming spring and summer months. I absolutely love this colour as it's so pretty and girly and looks lovely under the sunshine. Finally to top off the outfit and make it look at little bit more 'cool' is my vintage Lees denim jacket from Candem Market and my sunglasses from Primark.

What styles are you most excited for this upcoming spring? Is the weather starting to look up where ever you are? Thank you so much for reading and don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin' to keep up with my latest posts!

Beauty: January Favourites 2015

Hello everyone, so it's finally come to the end of January. Anyone else feel like it was the longest month ever? Either way, hopefully those January blues are now all out the window are you're all doing well. Here are my January favourites for you!

First is this eye shadow palette that I received from BornPretty* recently. This palette includes some gorgeous glittery and shimmery shades which are perfect for a special occasion, my personal favorite is actually the green one which I like to blend into my crease of my eye to add a bit of depth to my makeup look to compliment the more neutral tones I tend to use on the base. If you are interested in this palette or anything else of the BornPretty store, you can use my discount code YBH10 for an extra 10 percent off at checkout!

I love trying out different foundations and as a brand, Rimmel never lets me down. Their prices are amazing whilst their products are up to such a good quality and there is such a large range of different colours and shades. Their match perfection foundation is no exception. This foundation I would say gives a medium coverage and would be quite good for people with normal to combination skin, as it does goes give a subtle glow. 10/10 would recommend!

Normally, I'm not the sort of person to go for a lipgloss, I am solidly a lipstick (normally of berry tones) kind of girl. However, as a little stocking filler over Christmas, I received this set of Lipglosses from Seventeen, and I have to say I have found a new love from them! This set includes quite a few different shades of nudes and pinks and then one red. I tend to use these on a daily basis when I want more casual makeup, and these give the perfect 'your lips but better' look.

I am one of those people who is obsessed with summer. As soon as Christmas is over I am itching for sun and warm weather and all the good things that come with it/. To cheer up my makeup look a little on these dreary days of January and February I have been loving using this bronzer from Collection to make me feel a little more tanned and luminous. I love this one because it uplifts up your makeup look so nicely!

I've talked about this blusher quite a few times previously on my blog and it's one of those products I keep re-discovering. In general though, the Topshop cream blushes are a very good addition to your everyday makeup collection.

What were part of your January favourites? Hope you are all having a lovely week :) Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin' to stay updated with all of my new posts!

Beauty: BornPretty makeup brush set review

Hello everyone!
I'm so sad that I've really slacked on the blogging this month, however uni and the one million assignments I've had did come first :( although now I am back with a review I'm very excited about. Recently I was contacted by a website called BornPretty*, and asked if i would like to review their products. After having a browse of their website and seeing what an amazing range of products they had to offer, and what amazing prices they are, I jumped at the opportunity.

Today I am going to review one of my particular favourites from their makeup line, this gorgeous pink brush and roll casing set.

The first thing that I can say about this product is that it is so aestheticall pleasing! It the brush roll is a gorgeous baby pink colour in a faux leather material, which not only looks good but is practical because it can easily be cleaned if it happens to get any makeup on it. The brushes are equally as beautiful with a baby pink/ metallic handles and white fibres - what more could a girl want?

The first two brushes in this are a small angled brush that is perfect for precision when it comes to your eyebrows and making sure they are neat and that your brow game is strong ;). This smaller brush can be used for accents such as brightening your tear duct with a highlighter, or can even be used for eyeliner.

The larger of these two brushes is great for applying eye shaddow whilst the smaller one is perfect for blending to get a beautiful smokey eye look.

We also have an eyebrow comb and a sponge applicator which are great to tidy up the last few bits of your makeup look.

The last item is this larger brush which I have found to be perfect to apply my contour with as it's really soft and perfectly blends it in.

If you're interested in this brush set or any of BornPretty's products, you can use my discount code YBH10 at checkout for a further 10 percent off their already amazing prices!
I hope you enjoyed this post, don't forget to leave me comment and let me know what you think! Also follow me on Bloglovin', Twitter and Instagram.

Fashion: What's in my bag? 2016

Hello everyone!
Last year I posted a what's in my bag and I got such a good response (mainly because you're probably all such a nosy bunch, like me) and so I thought that I would do another one, since I have a new bag that I generally like to carry round with me instead.
I got this backpack from Primark quite a while ago and didn't expect it at first to become the one that I used all the time, however, I've found it so useful! Whilst handbags can be big, bulky and get in the way, this you can throw on your back and get on with what ever you need to do. I find as well that if I have a lot of stuff in there as well I generally don't get back or shoulder ache like I do with a traditional handbag. Any way, without further ado, here is what is in my bag:

First up I have my Zara perfume which featured in my December Favourites. It's the perfect size for my handbag as its a really little bottle and it's always nice to have some fragrance to top up with throughout the day, especially if you're out all day.

A fairly new addition to my bag is this lovely Cath Kidston ticket holder, which has come in so handy for me recently. I've found that it's a lot easier to have this whilst you're travelling on trains or buses so that you don't have to keep getting out your purse and fumbling about because you don't even need to take this out of the holder to use.

Who always spends longer looking for their keys in their bag than actually using them to open the door? Well, this was always me before I found this adorable pom pom keyring from newlook. Because it's so big you will never lose your keys in your bag, plus, pom poms are so in right now.

One thing you may not know about me is that I am as blind as a bat, for real. Most of the time I wear contact lenses, however sometimes they can get a bit sticky or uncomfortable throughout the day so I always bring my glasses with me just in case. These ones are from specsavers and I absolutely love them, they make me feel so trendy and sophisticated,

I also always take a mini can of deodrant with me, just incase I get a bit flustered or hot, as well as my Cath Kidston purse which I've had for ages now, but still absolutely love.

Here, we have two of my study essentials; earphones and a project A4 notebook. I think that this size notebook is really good so that you have space and can see what you're doing in terms or your work, as smaller notebooks can get a bit cramped and I find I can barely understand my notes!

And of course, last but not least, I have my iPhone.

What do you carry in your bag? Any essentials? I really hope you enjoyed this post and would love to know what you think in the comments! Also don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin' and all my social media :)

Life: My goals and aims for 2016

Hello everyone! Hope you have a really good New Years Eve and are looking forward to the new year. I thought that today I would write about my goals and aims for 2016 as I think that it's really great to set out what you want to do so you know how you're going to achieve it.

Blogging
I have loved blogging over the past year, it's such a good outlet for me as I love writing and being creative. I really want to continue learning and improving my blog this year. I definitely want to learn how to take better photos and to improve that layout and theme of my blog. I am also setting the goal of getting 1,000 Bloglovin' followers - I know it's not all about the numbers but it's really lovely to set goals to reach.

Future
As well as working hard for my university assignments I would really like to get some work experience and internships within the fashion journalism world. I am already starting an internship with collegefashionista.com and I would like to do more for some magazines so I can gain valuable experience for my future career.

Personal
I would love to run some 5k races such as the race for life and the colour run as I've always really enjoyed running and it would be nice to have a goal to work towards. I would also like to do this to raise money for charities. As well as this I would like to give blood because it's such a good thing to do and helps people invaluably.
I also think that I need to get back into reading because I love it so much but always find myself getting more into Netflix and casting reading to the side. There are so many books I want to read but haven't got round to yet!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. What are your goals and aims for 2016? Don't forget to comment and let me know what you think and follow me on Bloglovin!

Beauty: December Favourites 2015

Hello everyone, it's my last favourites post (and any other post for that matter) of 2015! I actually can't believe it, it feels as though it was literally 5 minutes ago that I was writing my January favourites, one of my very first posts when I started this blog! It makes me think about how much I've enjoyed blogging this last year and how much joy I get from being part of the community.
Anyway... away from the soppiness and onto the beauty products I have been loving this month.

Sally Hansen Maximum Strength
I use this as a base coat before I paint my nails because I really want to improve the strength off my nails and try and prevent them from breaking whenever I try to grow them long. I find them especially weak when I treat myself and get gel nails done so this is really good to give them a little bit extra life and I've definitely noticed and improvement in my nails since using this.

Zara 'Rose' Eau De Toillete
I was looking for a new perfume and came across this little bottle in Zara. It's a lovely smell that's not too sweet and a fairly deep floral scent which is quite good for all year round I would say. Also Zara's perfumes are cheap and cheerful, this costing under £10!

Real Techniques Eye Shadow Brushes
These are an oldie but a goody, I'm not sure why but I've really been reaching for these brushes a lot recently to do my makeup with. I think because you never go wrong with real techniques, a simple brush that gets the job done, I still love this starter kit so much!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
This concealer just covers your spots and gives your skin a glowing look... need I say more?

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick
I love this matte red colour, it's so vampy and edgy and such a perfect colour for the winter time. I like wearing this colour with a completely black and white outfit as I think it adds a definite bit of edge

Thank you so much for reading this post and any others that you may have read in 2015! Hope that you all have a very happy new year :) Don't forget to comment and follow me on Bloglovin'!

Fashion: #ootd

Hello everyone!
I hope that you all had a wonderful christmas and are looking forward to the new year. My outfit today for a cosy day at home with my family was this gorgeous mustard yellow jumper with my favourite denim skirt and chelsea boots. I really love this outfit because it feels so bright and uplifting, and is really what you need when the weather is this grey and dingy. Mustard is not normally a colour that I would go for as it's quite daring but now that I have tried it I think that its defintely a colour that I would like to try out more, because it is so cheery and lovely. I think that this jumper would also look good with black ripped jeans and converse for a really relaxed everyday look.

what's your go to outfit for a family day? and what outfits did you rock over christmas? Don't forget to let me know what you think in the comments and follow me on bloglovin :)
