Beauty: November Favourites 2015

Hello everyone!
I can't believe november is already over, but you know what that means? We can start celebrating CHRISTMAS!! I'm so excited for the festivities to start and and I've got loads of christmassy blog posts in mind, which you should all get really excited for ;) Any way here is what I have been loving through out the month of November.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream: Recently I have been enjoying the fac that my skin is quite clear (yay!) and so haven't felt the need for a heavy foundation, and I've found that this BB cream does the trick. It gives a light coverage to get rid of any redness whilst gving a healthy look to your skin. Would definitely recommend.

Benefit Roller lash mascara: I won't go into a full review of this product as I'm sure you have read so many since this product has been raved about everywhere. I just felt I had to mention this mascara as after using it for 8 months, I am still loving it so so much, and can't seem to find any other mascaras which make my lashes so long and curly. Bravo Benefit!

Collection lasting colour lipstick in 'Poppy Glam': To be honest all collection lipsticks in general should be in my favourites since I have been loving them so much, however with the christmas season coming up, I feel that Poppy Glam is the best one to get you in the mood. At the bargain price of £2.99 each and superdrug often doing a 3 for 2 offer, I tend to go a bit crazy with these lipsticks and get all the colours haha.

Simple Kind to skin hydrating light moisturiser: With the weather getting colder, and particularly in Bournemouth where I live by the sea and it's really windy, I have to make sure I look after my skin and stop it from getting dry. I have always loved simple and this moisturiser is perfect as it is light and doesn't make my skin oily and breakout.

Seventeen Define and conquer contour kit: I recently bought this contour kit and I have't stopped using it this month! If you want a full review, you can read my last blog post here.

Thank you so much for reading guys! What have you been loving this last month?

Beauty: First impressions "Seventeen - Define and conquer contour kit"

Hey everyone, so over the past few weeks I have heard endless praises for Seventeen's new contour kit and I've been dying to try it out ever since. Now I know what you're thinking: (and I won't lie, at first I thought this too) Seventeen.. really? Yeah we all have good memories, one of the first makeup brands I tried out when I was about twelve, and it was all well and good then, but now I've discovered many different makeup brands. However, after giving it a shot (and at the bargain price of £5.99 why wouldn't I?) I'm pleased to report back with only positive things.
With a little leaflet in the packet showing you exactly where to place each powder on your face in order to get the gorgeous contoured look this product is easy to apply and quite build-able. I'll normally start with quite a small dusting of each powder and then add more until i'm happy with the amount of definition on my face. For the price of this product the quality is amazing and looks wonderful on - would highly recommend!

Thank you so much for reading and for 300 bloglovin' followers! any other contour kits you think I should try?

Fashion: Wishlist!

I'm sure as many of you know, now that I am a student, I kind of have to keep the shopping to a minimum (cry). Although with my birthday coming up in about a week - and with that birthday money- I have allowed myself to create a small wishlist of some of the clothes I might buy with it.

I think by now we can tell from my blog that I am obsessed with autumn, and all the fashion trends that come with it and this wishlist is no exception to the rule.
1) Brown *suede* skirt I put this in asterisks because I clearly won;t be able to afford real suede, but anyway, this skirt just seems to be everything that I love about autumn, Skirts in the A-line shape with buttons are my absolute favorite at the moment and I've wanted one of these skirts for ages.
2) Black heeled chelsea boots these are absolutely gorgeous and I feel would add a bit of sophistication to any outfit, either with skirts, jeans, dresses. I also really like the material of these ones, as it adds something different rather than standard leather all the time,
3) Grey trench coat I love how this is a little spin on the traditional trench coat, with no buttons or a belt, it would add a really relaxed vibe to a classy outfit.
4) Large black bag I absolutely love massive black bags because (as i'm lazy) they pretty much go with everything so i don't have to worry about moving everything out of my bag to a new bag that matches what I'm wearing every morning.
5)Tartan scarf  I dont really understand why ive not bought one of these yet considering ive wanted one for like 2 years now. However I am determined this year because they are so christmassy and wintery and basically all i want in a scarf.

Thanks so much for reading! Whats on your wishlist at the moment? Don't forget to follow me on GFC and Bloglovin'!

Fashion: #ootd

I recently purchased a new floppy fedora style hat in a dark plum colour and I think I'm in love! I just want to wear it all the time haha! It's from primark for £8 (an absolute bargain!) and I just couldn't wait to do an outfit post show casing this for you guys. I decided to pair it with my ripped charcoal joni jeans from Topshop and a baggy, grey slit jumper from H&M. I love this look as it feels so sophisticated but yet so casual - and definitely one of those ones which will have me checking out my reflection in any shop windows I pass (sorry, not sorry)

I will definitely be rocking this hat a lot more throughout the Autumn / winter months. Any staple items you will be wearing? Thanks so much for reading and thank you for 200 bloglovin' followers!

Life: Banana cupcakes!

Hello everyone! So the other day I was really in the mood for baking and I had a lot of bananas in my fruit bowl, so what did I do? Obviously I made banana cakes (bet you didn't see that one coming did you?). and now I'm going to show you how I did it, in case you get the same random mood as I did.

You will need:
125g butter
150g caster sugar
a tea spoon of agave nectar
1 egg, beaten
3 ripe bananas, mashed
190g self raising flour
60ml milk

Instructions:
1) Place cupcake cases onto the tray and put to the side. Melt butter, sugar and agave nectar in a saucepan over a medium heat.
2) Once melted remove from heat, add the mashed bananas and mix really well. followed by adding the egg and mixing well.
3)Stir in flour and milk
4) Pour into your cupcake cases and bake at 170 C/ Fan 150 C/ Gas mark 3 for around 35 minutes until golden brown.
5) Once cooled you could add nutella, peanut butter, or whipped cream for extra tastiness.
Enjoy!

I'm very happy with how they turned out and they certainly went down a treat in my house. Let me know if you decide to make them or what cool recipes i should try next! Thanks for reading and dont forget to follow me on bloglovin' and GFC!

Fashion: My little grey dress

Hello everyone!
Today's post is an appreciation post for my little grey Topshop dress. I think pretty much every single one of my friends owns this dress in a variety of colours (you can get them from here). I love the way that these dresses are so simple, yet so flattering. I wear mine all the time some times with converse for a boyish look as I have done here, or sometimes with boots and a leather jacket for an edgier look.

I definitely think that this is a perfect versatile dress for the autumn and winter months and that I will definitely look into getting more colours. Thank you so much for reading!

Fashion and Beauty: My Autumn Essentials

I seriously love this time of year, autumn is such a gorgeous time , plus there are so many things to look forward to (Halloween, Fireworks night, my birthday, Christmas), not to mention the fashion and beauty on offer is gorgeous. I love it when my wardrobe gets a bit more cosy and I can start whacking out the berry toned make up. Here are some of my essentials for the colder months ahead.

Soap and Glory 'Smoothie star body milk'
Unfortunately with cold weather comes dry, battered and worn skin and a bit of rejuvenation is in order. I personally love to take a long, hot shower or bath and exfoliate and afterwards moisturising is just the perfect way to top it off. My all time favourite body lotion has always been this one as I love the smell of oats and vanilla, particularly in winter as it's so sweet and warm.

Now, it wouldn't be autumn with out some sort of berry lipstick - and I happen to have two here for you. The first one is a Mac satin lipstick called 'Amorous' and I find this lipstick so wearable as it's not too 'bold' but it definitely is very autumnal. This one is more of a brown shade compared to the Collection Lipstick from their 'Gothic Glam Collection' in Seduction. This one is definitely more glossy and heading towards the red/ pink shade so would probably be one that I might wear on an occasion.

As much as berry lipsticks are an essential, I think that you definitely need berry nails to go with it. This Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail varnish in Pomegranate is one of my faves. It's long lasting and very shiney - just what you need!

When it comes to this time of year I can't live without my faux leather Jacket from Boohoo. I love how it makes any outfit instantly look a bit 'cooler' or 'edgier', and it's definitely perfect for that in between stage that we're in now where we don't need a full on winter coat, but it's definitely not warm enough for short sleeves anymore.

Now, the real question is, who doesn't own a plaid shirt? I've had this one from H&M for years and I definitely won't be throwing it out any time soon. It's perfect for those days where you want to go for more of a tom- boy look if you match it with ripped jeans and trainers, or even a girly look if you pair it with a denim skirt and boots.

These two recent purchases of skirts have been life savers. The denim one from Boohoo and the black suede style one from Primark go with so many of my clothes. I think that the A line shape is really going to be massive this winter from both casual to party, so definitely keep your eyes peeled for more skirts like these!
When the time came for me to pick out some new work shoes for my retail job at Clarks, I knew that I definitely wanted these boots. They are the perfect mix of both Chelsea and chunky and although I have only had them a little while, I am already getting so much use out of these - they will definitely be appearing a lot more in my autumn winter wardrobe!

What are your autumn essentials? Is there anything you simply can't live without at this time of year?
